Hiroshima-made sewing needles wrapped in Haibara chiyogami paper. Needles are made for consistent thickness and length and a clean pierce through cloth. Haibara is a Nihonbashi, Tokyo washi company with more than 200 years of history; Cohana reprints selected historic chiyogami designs in original colors for the packaging.
Variants
- Sashiko: Sharp tip. Longer needles for larger stitch patterns; shorter for detail. Chiyogami pattern: Kumiki (wooden puzzles).
- Embroidery: Sharp tip for dense fabrics and most embroidery stitches. Chiyogami pattern: Onagadori and Botan (long-tailed roosters and peonies).
- Cross Stitch: Round tip that glides through fabric, with a larger eye for easier threading. Chiyogami pattern: Hyotan (gourds).
Pairs well with the Haibara Chiyogami Needle Threader, which uses matching paper.
Note: Needle tips are sharp. Wipe after use. Keep away from infants.
We recommend
Choose Sashiko, Embroidery, or Cross Stitch needles to suit your stitching technique.
