Sewing pins topped with traditional tombo-dama glass beads. Tombo-dama means "dragonfly's eye," a Japanese glass craft known for detailed color and pattern work.
Cohana's pins use millefiori glass rods (Italian for "thousands of flowers") with floral patterns set into the glass. Artisans at Kinari Glassworks in Osaka heat, shape, and weld each bead by hand onto the pin. Heads measure about 5 mm (0.20 in); each pin is unique in pattern and finish.
The steel pins are made in Hiroshima, a city with about 300 years of needle-making history. Quality control keeps thickness and length consistent so the pins pierce cloth cleanly.
Set: 3 assorted pins. Colors and patterns cannot be selected.
We recommend
